My love for textiles may have started with my British grandmother’s curtains, black floral chintz. Moody, lovely and unexpected in the New Hampshire countryside…
Then there was the green velvet sofa and antique wool rugs in my aunt’s Boston brick townhouse. Textural, sophisticated and timeless.
The childhood dress-up in clothing from Southeast Asia, India and Afghanistan that my mother collected on her 70’s circumnavigation of the world. Romantic with a sense of otherness.
Endless summers spent on Cape Cod and cruising Downeast Maine. Salty towels, my grandfather’s weathered chamois shirts, ancient canvas tote bags…

For nearly a decade I have been designing and creating custom pillows for clients. This has honed my design eye and informed my knowledge of high-end fabrics and trims. With an ever-growing number of trade accounts at designer fabric houses, both storied and boutique, I have access to the world’s finest fabrics. Design-savvy clients now leverage my expertise, artistry and access to exclusive fabrics to create custom pillows that elevate their space.
However, customizing pillow schemes and trim options was requiring a cumbersome and time-consuming back-and-forth with each client. With the creation of OONA pillow design, I have streamlined the custom-pillow process to help more people tell their unique style stories with ease.
